Celebration of Great Saints – Guru Ravidas Jayanti

Organized by SPOWAC in Collaboration with Dr. Ambedkar Foundation**

SPOWAC proudly celebrated Guru Ravidas Jayanti, honoring the birth anniversary of the revered saint, poet, and social reformer Guru Ravidas Ji. Organized in collaboration with the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, the program paid tribute to his timeless message of equality, unity, and the dignity of all individuals—values that continue to guide India’s social reform movements.

The event brought together community members, students, and youth groups to reflect on Guru Ravidas Ji’s teachings of compassion, humility, and harmony. The program featured inspirational talks, devotional recitations, cultural performances, and interactive sessions that highlighted his vision of an inclusive society free from discrimination.

Special emphasis was placed on the profound connection between Guru Ravidas Ji’s philosophy and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s life-long struggle for social justice. Through educational activities and discussions, participants were encouraged to understand how their teachings continue to inspire equality and human rights in contemporary society.

Youth participants engaged in competitions such as essay writing, art, and poetry based on Guru Ravidas Ji’s life and spiritual ideals. Awareness materials were also distributed to reinforce the message of social harmony, dignity, and empowerment.

Through this meaningful celebration, SPOWAC aimed to promote the transformative values championed by Guru Ravidas Ji and deepen community understanding of his contributions. The partnership with the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation added greater reach and significance to the event, making the celebration a memorable and impactful occasion for all participants.
