POSH & POCSO Awareness and Training Programs
Led by Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnan – Qualified Trainer**
At SPOWAC, we are committed to creating safe, respectful, and empowered environments for women, children, youth, and professionals across sectors. As part of this mission, we conduct specialized awareness and training programs on the POSH Act (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace) and the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences). These sessions are led by Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnan, a highly experienced and qualified trainer known for her practical approach, strong subject expertise, and compassionate facilitation style.
Our POSH and POCSO initiatives aim to build safer workplaces, institutions, and communities by strengthening understanding of laws, rights, responsibilities, preventive measures, and reporting mechanisms. Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnan has successfully trained employees, teachers, students, parents, corporate teams, and community groups, helping them recognize inappropriate behavior, respond to incidents, and create a culture of respect and safety.
Through interactive workshops, case-based discussions, role-plays, and awareness modules, participants gain clear insights into:
Principles and provisions of POSH and POCSO
Duties of employers, schools, and institutions
Roles and responsibilities of IC, LC & safeguarding teams
Preventive strategies and early identification of abuse
Reporting structures, confidentiality, and survivor support
Real-life scenarios and best practices for safe environments
These programs reinforce the importance of zero-tolerance toward harassment and abuse while empowering individuals to speak up and support others confidently. Under the leadership of Mrs. Lakshmi Krishnan, the sessions have been impactful, engaging, and transformative—helping organizations and communities strengthen their safety frameworks and child protection practices.
SPOWAC continues to expand this crucial work to ensure that every workplace, school, and neighborhood upholds dignity, equality, and protection for all.
