Road Safety Awareness Initiative

A Collaborative Effort for Safer Roads and Responsible Citizens

Road safety is not just a civic concern—it is a collective responsibility. Our NGO has been actively working towards building a safer road environment by empowering citizens with the knowledge, discipline, and awareness needed to prevent accidents and protect lives. To strengthen this mission, we have partnered with the Association for Road Safety Awareness and Education (ARERG), Infomerics Rating, Delhi Police, and SPOWAC to implement a series of comprehensive road safety awareness programs across Delhi-NCR.

Our Objective

The initiative aims to:

• Instill road discipline among drivers, riders, students, and pedestrians

• Reduce preventable road accidents through awareness and behaviour change

• Promote responsible use of roads by educating communities on rules, hazards, and safe practices

• Support government efforts toward building a more organised, safe road network

Key Activities Conducted

1. Awareness Workshops & Seminars

In partnership with ARERG and Delhi Police, we conduct expert-led sessions covering road rules, safe driving behaviour, use of helmets and seatbelts, pedestrian safety, overspeeding risks, and prevention of drunk driving.
These sessions are tailored for:

• School and college students

• Drivers and transport workers

• Community groups and RWAs

• Corporate employees

2. On-Ground Awareness Drives

Our teams organise road safety drives at traffic intersections, markets, and public spaces. Volunteers and police officials engage with commuters, display safety placards, distribute informative leaflets, and demonstrate the importance of following traffic signals and lane discipline.

3. School & Youth Sensitisation Programs

Special sessions are held for young road users to create early awareness. Using real-life case examples, interactive discussions, street plays, and quizzes, students learn about safe crossing, cycling safety, and responsible behaviour on the road.

4. Demonstration & Live Interactions with Delhi Police

Delhi Police officials provide live demonstrations on accident prevention, emergency response, tyre and brake checks, and the consequences of traffic violations. These sessions help citizens understand the real-life impact of unsafe driving.

5. CSR Partnership with Infomerics Rating

Infomerics supports the initiative through its CSR program, helping in outreach, mobilization, awareness materials, and expansion of sessions to underserved communities. Their contribution strengthens our ability to reach more beneficiaries every month.

6. Community Mobilisation by SPOWAC

With its strong grassroots presence, SPOWAC plays a vital role in:

• Mobilizing women, youth, and local residents

• Coordinating field activities

• Ensuring participation from marginalized communities
  This ensures that road safety awareness reaches even the most vulnerable road users.

Impact of the Initiative

Through this collaborative effort, we have achieved:

• Thousands of citizens sensitised on road safety

• Strong community participation in traffic discipline drives

• Increased awareness among students and young road users

• Improved understanding of emergency response and accident prevention

• Strengthened coordination between citizens and enforcement agencies

Our Commitment
