Legal Clinic

Inauguration of Legal Clinic by Secretary(SW-DSLSA) Mrs Anuradha Jindal.

On 7th November2023 a legal Clinic was opened and inaugurated to bring legal services at the door step of needy women living in the JJ Clusters. As per this service a legal advocate is sent on a regular basis to look into the grievances of the people living in the basti.

LEGAL AID

Partnered with Mission Convergence and Delhi State Legal Service Authority, SPOWAC initiates the following activities under this project: 

Objective: 
- To educate the vulnerable on issues pertaining to their rights and also provide free counselling on legal issues.
- Needy individual cases are also taken up.

So far, 384 cases have been taken up due to these camps organized by us

LEGAL AWARENESS CAMPS

In association with the Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA), SPOWAC has conducted Legal Awareness Campaigns and “Lok Adalats” at various places

 Objective: 
- To inform people about their rights and how they may be treated unfairly at their work places or homes.
- To spread awareness about the legal processes that are available through which one can avail of their rights.

So far, about 11,150 people have attended the legal awareness camps organized by us.
